John Cowper has been involved with advertising, marketing, fundraising and selling for all of his adult life. He has at various times worked for some of Australia's best known advertising agencies, and held senior marketing positions (at one stage managing a sales team of forty-four).

More recently John has been an educator, trainer and writer.
